Common Agrimony (Agrimonia eupatoria L.)

Product Description

The Common Agrimony is a herbaceous perennial plant. The stem is upright, lace-like, up to 1 m high, with hard-lipped hair. The leaves are usually located at the bottom of the stem. The flowers are golden, small, with a pleasant smell. Blooms in June – August.

In Bulgaria it is found in the bushes, the meadows and along the roads.

The rounded stalks (Herba Agrimoniae) on the whip are used. Picking up June to August, as the planted overhead part of the plant is cut at a distance of up to 25 cm from top down before or during flowering.

Common Agrimony is used in medicine as a clamping and urinary agent, in the case of gastric and gallbladder diseases, kidney stones and kidney stones, in the treatment of liver and bile diseases. Outwardly used for gargle in inflammation of the gums, and throat and hoarse voice, and also for boils.
