Davana is a small plant with small yellow flowers used in Ayurvedic medicine, and has therefore been part of traditional Indian culture for a very long time. This small plant, which can grow to around 60cm in height, has silvery-grey or blue leaves and produces small yellow flowers. In Mysore, davana lives alongside sandalwood.
The genius Artemesia includes other plants such as:
