PRODUCT DETAIL

Red ginseng (scientific name: Talinum paniculatum (Jacq.) Gaertn.) is a perennial herb of Panax ginseng in Araliaceae. The rhizome is short and erect, with a section proliferating every year, commonly known as “Lutou”, and sometimes one to several adventitious roots (taro) grow on it. Taproot stout, fleshy, cylindrical or spindle shaped. Palmately compound leaves are whorled at the stem end, compound leaves have a long handle, most of the leaflets are 5, the edge is serrulate, and there are sparse bristles along the veins above.
