Organic Rosemary Oil

Product Description

Our Organic Rosemary oil is obtained through the steam distillation of stems, leaves, and flowers from the organically grown Rosmarinus officinalis from Spain. Our commitment to organic farming ensures that no pesticides or harmful chemicals are used, aligning with our sustainability and ethical policy. Rosemary is a hardy plant that doesn’t require pesticides, so is grown through organic farming, with no harmful chemicals. The farming and distilling methods used in Spain are focused on the responsible use of energy and natural resources, the maintenance of biodiversity and the preservation of ecological balances.

Rosemary oil is a colourless liquid and with its fresh, herbaceous notes and a hint of floral undertones, it creates a truly captivating aroma that rejuvenates your senses and uplifts your mood. Our Organic Rosemary oils contain a rich composition of essential components, including Cineole, Camphor, Borneol and Pinenes that contribute to the aromatic aroma within our Rosemary Oil. At Khush we have two chemotypes of Rosemary oil, cineole, and camphor.

As their name suggests, cineole has higher levels of cineole (38-55%) with a more medicinal, eucalyptus aroma, while camphor has a stronger camphoraceous scent with levels of camphor between 12.5-22%. Organic Rosemary Camphor is used in medicinal remedies, particularly for muscle ache. While Organic Rosemary Cineole is popular within the cosmetic industry, used in various creams and lotion for its antimicrobial properties and has even been linked to increase hair growth.

Due to Rosemarys exceptional versatility in various products and believed benefits it had on hair growth and medicinal remedies, rosemary is a popular ingredient in aromatherapy and cosmetics, including hair care which has become a popular trend across social media, especially TikTok!  As a result, demand for rosemary oil has surged.

At Khush Ingredients we have recently secured our stock of Organic Rosemary oil for 2023 for both UK and The Netherlands. The oil was delivered from Spain via road freight, which supports our goals in our Sustainability and Ethical policy to reduce carbon emissions. Road freighting produces much lower amounts of CO2 per kg compared to airfreighting, so is the more sustainable option when importing Organic Rosemary oil.
