Known traditionally as “Eye bright oil” Clary Sage was used for medicinal purposes back in the Middle Ages for its soothing, calming, and balancing properties.
The flowering leaves and heads are harvested and steam distilled to produce this sweet, herbaceous oil which for me hints at the smell of grass, but a bit less sweet than Chamomile.
