Company Introduction
Seoul Propolis Co., Ltd is a spin-off company of Korean Energy Research Institute. By the end of 2003, Seoul Propolis developed and published the water-soluble manufacturing method (WEEP Technology). Seoul Propolis works to standardize and develop the propolis industry through the organization of World Propolis Science Form. Propolis produced by honeybees and known to have a broad spectrum of properties, including immune supportive and immunomodulatory activity. The immunomodulatory activity is attributed to flavonoids and some phenolic acids mainly caffeic acid phenethyl esters and artepillin C. With immunomodulatory effects, propolis can be tried as prophylactic support. These benefits make propolis a useful natural ingredient in health care industry. In contrast to ethanol-extracted propolis, our technology enables the extraction of propolis to be water-soluble and alcohol free.
